Green Garners Endorsements In Race For New City Council Seat
Larry Green, candidate for the newly created Houston City Council District K, has been endorsed by a broad coalition of individuals and organizations as his campaign continues to gain momentum.
To date, Green has earned the support of a wide range of organizations, including the Harris County AFL-CIO, Houston Council of Engineering Companies (HCEC), Houston Organization of Public Employees (HOPE Local 123), Houston GLBT Political Caucus, Democracy for Houston, Houston Stonewall Democrats, Houston Young Stonewall Democrats, Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast Action Fund, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU Local 1) and the Across the Track Pac.
Green has also been endorsed by three members of the Houston Congressional delegation -- Al Green, Gene Green and Sheila Jackson Lee -- as well as numerous local elected officials and prominent Houstonians.
